TorBox WebDAV: Mount Your Cloud Files (2026 Guide)

WebDAV lets you browse and play your TorBox files like a network drive. This page covers the address, the logins, each operating system and the gotchas.

Last updated Reviewed November 2026

WebDAV is an old, widely supported way to expose files over HTTPS. TorBox runs it at one address and shows your account’s finished downloads as folders. Players and file managers that understand WebDAV can browse and open them without a manual download.

Server
https://webdav.torbox.app
Port
443 (HTTPS)
Username
Your TorBox email, or torbox
Password
Your account password, or your API key
Refresh
Every 15 minutes, manual at /refresh/
Access
Intended read-only

Before you connect

  • Treat the API key like a password. Anyone who has it controls your account. Pick the email and password login only on devices you trust, and the API key where you want to avoid typing your real password.
  • The file list is cached. A freshly finished download can take up to 15 minutes to appear. Open the refresh address in a browser to force it.
  • In the dashboard settings, under integrations, you will find a flatten option that puts everything in the root folder. Tags appear as folders: an item tagged “Linux ISOs” shows up under a folder with that tag name.
  • TorBox notes files are currently served through Cloudflare, which can cause caching quirks while other CDNs are rolled out.

Windows

  1. Open File Explorer, right-click This PC, choose Map network drive.
  2. Folder: https://webdav.torbox.app. Tick “Connect using different credentials”.
  3. Enter your username and password or API key.

Windows’ built-in WebDAV client (WebClient service) has a history of size limits on large files and is slow on big folders. If a large file fails to open, use rclone with WinFsp instead (below).

macOS

In Finder choose Go, then Connect to Server, enter https://webdav.torbox.app, and sign in. Finder mounts it as a volume. It works for browsing and opening files, but Finder can be slow with thousands of entries. For a stable mount that Jellyfin or Plex can read, rclone is better (needs macFUSE).

Linux

Two reasonable options. The first is davfs2: install it, then sudo mount -t davfs https://webdav.torbox.app /mnt/torbox. The second, which handles streaming better, is rclone.

rclone (all systems)

rclone has a native WebDAV backend. Run rclone config, choose a new remote named torbox, storage type webdav, URL https://webdav.torbox.app, vendor other, then your username and password (rclone stores it obscured). Then mount:

rclone mount torbox: /mnt/torbox \
  --read-only --vfs-cache-mode full \
  --dir-cache-time 15m --tpslimit 2

The --dir-cache-time 15m matches TorBox’s refresh interval. The --tpslimit flag matters: TorBox’s API has rate limits, and a media server scan can issue hundreds of requests. Start low and raise it if browsing feels slow. On Windows install WinFsp first, on macOS macFUSE. Follow the rclone WebDAV docs for your version, since flags change.

Using the mount with media apps

Pros

  • No local storage needed for the library
  • Works with anything that reads a folder
  • Same files available on every device

Cons

  • Playback speed depends on your connection
  • Server scans can hit rate limits
  • Library only updates every 15 minutes
  • Jellyfin and Plex read folders on the machine they run on. Mount WebDAV with rclone on that machine, then add the mount as a library folder. Turn off aggressive scanning, thumbnails and intro detection on that library. See the Jellyfin and Plex guides.
  • Infuse connects to WebDAV directly, no mount needed. See the Infuse guide.
  • Kodi can add WebDAV as a video source natively. See the Kodi guide.

TorBox is also reported to publish a Media Center tool on GitHub that mounts video files for media servers. It is a separate project that we have not verified, so read its README and check the plan requirements before relying on it.

If you are on a paid plan and use Usenet downloads, the finished folders show up over WebDAV the same way as torrent and web downloads. To compare plans before you connect, see the pricing page.

If you do not have an account yet, open our link while logged in and confirm the popup before you pay. The bonus is 7 extra days per month purchased, first paid purchase only, and it is not a discount.

Retention

WebDAV does not change how long TorBox keeps files. They are kept for at least 30 days of activity and the rule can change. To keep chosen files, use AirLock and keep your own backup as well.

Our take

WebDAV is the cleanest way to get TorBox files into Infuse or Kodi, and rclone makes it workable for Jellyfin and Plex. It is not a substitute for a backup. If you only watch things in a browser, the built-in web player is simpler.

Frequently asked questions

What is the TorBox WebDAV address?

https://webdav.torbox.app over HTTPS on port 443. Do not use the dashboard URL.

What username and password do I use?

Either your TorBox email and password, or the username torbox with your API key as the password. If you signed up with Apple or Google, set a password through the password reset page or use the API key option.

How often does the file list update?

Every 15 minutes. You can trigger a manual refresh at https://webdav.torbox.app/refresh/ while logged in.

Is WebDAV read-only?

It is meant to be, but some clients allow file management. Deleting one file through such a client removes the whole item from your TorBox dashboard, so avoid deleting from the mount.

Does WebDAV keep my files longer?

No. Normal retention rules still apply. Use AirLock on the files you want kept, within your plan's allowance, and keep your own backup.

Which plans include WebDAV?

WebDAV is listed as a TorBox feature. Check the current plan table, since limits can change.
