TorBox vs Premiumize 2026: Which Costs Less?

Premiumize is a premium all-in-one cloud service at 9.99 euros a month. TorBox covers most of the same ground from $3, so the real question is whether Premiumize's extras are worth the price.

Last updated Reviewed November 2026

Short answer: Premiumize costs about three times what TorBox Essential costs for a month. If you need a polished cloud drive with an official mobile app and are happy to pay for it, Premiumize is fine, and its yearly plan is far cheaper per month than its monthly one. If you want debrid, Usenet and storage at the lowest price, TorBox is the better value.

Premiumize monthly9.99 EUR0.333
Premiumize yearly69.99 EUR0.192
TorBox Essential$30.100
TorBox Pro$100.333

On the monthly plan, Premiumize costs the same as TorBox Pro in nominal terms (euros are not converted into dollars here). That is the fair match, since both come with 1 TB of storage. TorBox Pro with the bonus days is 37 days for $10 on a one-month purchase, about $0.27 per day, and the extra days are on top of whatever you paid. The bonus is for your first paid purchase only, and you must confirm the popup after opening the link. See how the bonus works.

Premiumize’s yearly plan changes the picture: at roughly 0.19 euro per day it undercuts TorBox Pro by a large margin, but it is a 12 month commitment, and TorBox’s own long-term prices are not published here because they sit behind login.

Where Premiumize wins

  • Cloud drive feel. 1 TB included on one plan, with WebDAV, FTP and SFTP, cloud sync to Google Drive and similar, and remote upload by URL.
  • Official mobile app. The GitHub comparison lists one. TorBox has none.
  • Yearly plan. 5.75 euros a month is good for a single, simple subscription.
  • One plan. There is nothing to choose between.

Where TorBox wins

  • Price at the low end. $3 or $5 covers most single-person use.
  • A free tier to test the interface and your apps before paying.
  • Seeding and slots. Plans offer 3, 5 or 10 slots and 24 hours to 30 days of seeding.
  • Usenet and the TorBox News Server (Pro) stated on TorBox’s own plan table.
  • Payment choice. Card, PayPal, Apple and Google Pay, crypto and Patreon.

Pros

  • Much cheaper entry plans
  • Free tier
  • Own plan table lists Usenet
  • Bonus days on first purchase

Cons

  • No official mobile app
  • No FTP or SFTP
  • Long-term prices not public
  • Downtime incidents reported

TorBox is not open source and has had reported downtime, per the GitHub comparison. The same comparison lists no downtime notes for Premiumize, which counts slightly in its favour, though absence of reports is weak evidence.

Simultaneous use and account sharing

A TorBox slot is one active transfer, meaning a torrent or download that is running or seeding. As of November 2026 the Help Center lists 1 slot on Free, 3 on Essential, 5 on Standard and 10 on Pro, so 3 slots means three transfers at once, not three users. Cached files do not use a slot, extra items wait in a queue and start when a slot frees up, and a download with no progress for 2 days is removed. Separately, a Help Center article says TorBox does not track your IP, puts no limit on how many devices are logged in and applies a fair share policy, and its abuse-system article lists mass account sharing among the behaviours that can get an account flagged. In practice your own phone, TV and laptop on one account are fine, while handing one login to several households is where restrictions begin. The GitHub comparison also reports a Terms change against account and API-key sharing, so read the current Terms before you share anything.

Premiumize publishes no slot or IP count that we could find. Its terms make you responsible for the confidentiality of your login and API key and for everything done under your account. Secondary sources describe usage as metered by fair-use points rather than a stream count, but we did not confirm the figures, so the cells say not confirmed.

Who should pick which

  • Single subscription, simple, mobile app, 1 TB: Premiumize, on the yearly plan.
  • Low cost, Usenet, API, several slots: TorBox Essential or Standard.
  • Lots of storage and heavy use: compare Premiumize yearly with TorBox Pro at checkout.

Before you buy TorBox, open our link while logged in and confirm the popup. If it does not appear (ad blockers are the usual cause), stop and fix that first, because the bonus cannot be added afterwards.
