TorBox Referral on Reddit: How to Read the Advice

Reddit threads about TorBox referral codes all describe the same program, so the useful part is not which code you pick but whether the advice around it is still correct. Every valid code gives you the same deal: 7 extra days per month purchased, on a first purchase only. Check any claim in a thread against that, and you will filter most of the noise.

We are not quoting specific users here, and we have not surveyed Reddit. Threads change, get deleted and get edited. What follows is what to look for, and what the rules are, as of November 2026.

What these threads tend to contain

This is a general description of the kind of post you may meet, not a count or a quote:

• People posting their own link or code in a “post your link” style thread.
• Questions like “does the bonus really work?” with a few confirmations.
• Posts comparing TorBox with other services, sometimes with outdated prices.
• Complaints that a bonus did not arrive, usually with a cause that is easy to find (see below).

Some of it can be useful. Older posts may be out of date, because plans and limits change over time, so a post from a year or two back may describe a different product.

Check the claims against the rules

TorBox publishes the bonus rules in its help center. The points that matter:

Claim you might read	What the rules say

“Free accounts earn days too”	False. The bonus is for new paid purchases only.
“It is a discount”	No. It is extra time on your plan.
“Support can add the code later”	No. Support will not add codes afterwards.
“Use a voucher and still get the bonus”	No. Vouchers and the 24 hour trial do not count.

Red flags in these threads

• Promises of extra days beyond 7 per month. There is no such tier.
• “Discount codes” or “promo codes” that supposedly cut the price. TorBox has no coupon you can type to lower the list price. If you see one, check the coupon code page before paying anything.
• Requests to pay a third party to “unlock” a bonus. The bonus is applied by TorBox when you buy, never by a stranger.
• Links that look like TorBox but are not. Make sure the address bar shows torbox.app after the redirect, and that you log in only there.
• Advice to make extra accounts to collect the bonus repeatedly. Do not. It works on the first purchase of each account only, and abusing promotions can get an account banned.

Using a code you found

Two ways to apply a code, both from TorBox’s own instructions:

1. Log in first

   Open torbox.app in the browser you will pay from and sign in.

2. Open the link or paste the code

   With a link, a popup appears. Confirm it. With a plain code, paste it into the code box at the bottom of the subscription page and submit.

3. Check you see the confirmation

   No popup or no confirmation message means no bonus is recorded. Do not buy at that point. Disable popup and ad blockers, or try another browser.

4. Then buy

   Choose a paid plan. The bonus days are added to your plan.

Is it worth using someone else’s code at all?

Your bonus only exists if somebody’s code is attached. If you were going to buy anyway, attaching one costs nothing and adds time: a 12 month purchase gives 84 extra days, which is nearly three months. Whose code you use is a matter of whom you want to thank. Our link is below if you want to use it.

If you are sure you will use TorBox for a year, make 12 months your first purchase. Only the first purchase on an account earns the bonus, and 12 months is the only term that earns the full 84 bonus days (21 for 3 months, 42 for 6). Renewals and later purchases do not earn it, so pick the term before you pay.

Things to remember when asking on Reddit

If you post your own question, state your plan, the browser and whether the popup appeared. Those three facts solve most “my bonus did not show up” threads.
